The Local team has designed virtually every aspect of the business to minimize environmental impact, and we make a valient effort to improve the world by contributing to organizations that help restore humanities adverse effects on the planet. Community
Local is committed to strengthening communities. We form bonds with like-minded organizations and others to help make the world a better place. We like to hang with the local folk, and give ‘em hand when we can. As our business continues to grow, we will continually expand our community programs to make positive impact on society. In a our latest efforts to hook-up fellow humanoids, Local has joined forces with Cal Poly Surfrider Foundation, Coast Union High School Surf Team, Monster Skate Series, Huntington Beach Surf Museum, and more.
Action Sports
Surfing and skating in the natural environments along California’s Central Coast is what inspired the creation of Local as a sustainable action sports company. To keep the spirit vivified, we recommend you also get your proper dose of surfing and skating around your local scene. And when you do, send us some sick shots of you and your buds blowin’ up. “What kind of sustainable products?”
The Local team makes organic cotton clothing using cutting-edge environmentally friendly technology. We also offer a full line of ultra-eco hemp clothing, hemp surfboards, bamboo skateboards, and other accessories such as hemp beenies, frisbees, walllets, hackies, biodegradable stickers, (recycled paper, soy ink) posters, and more.

“Eco business? What’s with the Skull?”
The Earth Skull symbolizes the natural cycles of life and the balance of opposing universal forces. It personifies the concept to “Live bold and die naturally”. We use it as our logo because Local products perform great and decompose naturally.

Where can I find your stuff?
At One Way Boardshop in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, and Ventura. Cowboy Surf Shop in Half Moon Bay, and Rock n’ Fig Surf Shop in Huntington Beach. If you can’t get there, try our online store (work in progress).
Mission
At Local we value nature, sustainability, community, and healthy living. Our business is here to help unite people with noble causes, inspire youth to create a better world for future generations, and set the standard for sustainable business in the 21st Century. Years ago we formed Local to create an outlet for sustainable action sports apparel, boards, and other accessories. We didn’t find too many businesses like this around back then, and we’re happy to undergo the trials and tribulations of building a truly sustainable surf n’ skate company. See Full Story.
